This fall, How To Get Away With Murder Season 3 is going to premiere and fans are already expecting a lot to happen in the new installment. However, what seems to be a potential surprise for the supporters is the possible Asher-Michaela love team as revealed by showrunner Peter Nowalk.
Back in Season 2, the two had their own special moment when they hooked up in the bathroom. Some fans thought it was just a one time thing for Asher (Matt McGorry) and Michaela ?(Aja Naomi King), but in a recent interview with Nowalk, the executive producer revealed that he would further explore the unlikely tandem.
?I think it?s fun. I really understand how these young people who have been living in a powder keg would grasp at each other,? Nowalk told TV Line. ?Michaela is going to have to deal with the fact that she just found out another guy she trusted, Caleb, was a crazy, freaking sociopath, so it makes sense to me why she might want to just choose the simple guy who?s right in front of her,? he added.
The showrunner also discussed the characteristics of Asher that Michaela might find appealing. ?In many ways, Asher is a really good boyfriend, and I think he?s probably a generous lover,? shared Nowalk. Meanwhile, aside from the possible Asher-Michaela relationship, the EP said that Season 3 will further tackle Michaela?s backstory and will offer a lot about her adoptive family.
Asher and Michaela are not the only ones who can possibly have a love story in How To Get Away With Murder Season 3, because according to Movie News Guide, a love-triangle between Frank (Charlie Weber), Wes (Alfred Enoch) and Laurel (Karla Souza), might take place.
It can be recalled that back in the second season, Wes and Laurel had an intimate moment with each other that led them to kissing. However, although there is clearly a connection building up between the two, it is a fact that Laurel has not moved on from Frank and that she is still in love with him. And, that is probably the main reason why a love-triangle will occur.
Speaking of Frank, according to a related interview with showrunner Nowalk by Entertainment Weekly, he will be the prime suspect for the death of Wallace Mahoney (Adam Arkin). Frank has hated Wallace for being responsible for the death of Annalise?s unborn child, which might give him the motive to kill the character. Aside from that, Frank?s sudden disappearance might be interpreted by the investigators as guilt.
