One of the games Microsoft presented this E3 is the much-anticipated Gears of War 4 from the Coalition. The title exclusive to Windows 10 PCs and the Xbox One is looking to take the franchise to a whole new level with better gameplay, graphics and more. The Coalition revealed new details on the game and the intense co-op multiplayer mode coming with it. Here are some new details on the Gears of War 4 cross platform play for the Xbox One and PC.

Cross Platform Play

The game will be exclusive to Windows 10 PCs and the Xbox One. Even better is that players from both platforms can play with each other as Microsoft and the Coalition will allow cross platform play for Gears of War 4. This will be available for competitive and cooperative multiplayer so there?s a lot more players to butt heads or fight together with.

The First Xbox Play Anywhere Title

Microsoft introduced a new feature called Xbox Play Anywhere. This allows the player to play digitally bought games on their Xbox One and in Windows 10 PCs. Players need only to look for the Xbox Play Anywhere logo on games at the Xbox Store to see which games are compatible with the feature. Gears of War 4 will be one of the first games to have the feature.

Bringing Back Co-Op

Like the past Gears of War titles, Gears of War 4 will have a co-op multiplayer mode that pushes players to work with each other against the alien threat. The gameplay footage showed off crisp graphics and smooth co-op multiplayer gameplay, as expected from the series. Players will also be able to take advantage of the Gears of War 4 cross platform play feature in co-op so the pool for allies is bigger than ever before.
