Gears Of War 4 Update: Minimum PC Specs Revealed

Microsoft has just released a stunning gameplay video for the upcoming Gears of War 4 game. To put it mildly, it is pretty epic.

The 10-minute 4K video follows three main protagonists – JD, Del and Kait – as they try to escape an old, abandoned fort. Along the way, they encounter some pretty grim scenes and Swarm enemies.

The gameplay video looks absolutely amazing. With stunning details and superb contrast, players would really want to get their hands on this game. Unfortunately, it would come with a price.

Along with the gameplay video release, Microsoft also announced the minimum specifications for the PC. And boy, are they steep.

Specs for AMD setup

In order to achieve basic gameplay quality, players would need to have an AMD FX-6300 core and a Radeon R7 260X with 2GB DDR5 VRAM. Along with 8GB of system RAM and 80GB of free storage.

Players looking for a bit more quality would need to shell-out a bit more. The recommended specs for the AMD rig are AMD FX-8350 processor and Radeon R9 290X or RX 480 with 4GB VRAM.

For those who just wanted the best gameplay experience, the game will require an AMD FX-9590 CPU and an R9 Fury X video card. Also, storage suggestion is in the form of SSD with matching 16GB RAM.

Specs for NVIDIA setup

For NVIDIA users, the minimum required setup is an i5 3470 running at 3.0GHz. Video card pairing will be a GeForce 750 Ti. The mid-range setup requires an i5 4600 at 3.5GHz and GeForce 970 or GTX 1060. Players who want to enjoy 4K gaming will need a beefier setup starting with an i7 4790 core running at 4GHz. Video card would need to be 980Ti of GTX 1080. Memory requirements will be the same as AMD rig, 16GB RAM and 80GB SSD storage.
