The upcoming Gears of War 4 for the Xbox One is expected to be yet another brutal and action-packed shooter. Aside from the trailer revealed at E3 2015, not much is known about the game yet, but the lack of details isn?t stopping fans from getting all riled up. Recently, the game?s producer revealed something new about the game.
In an interview with the official Xbox magazine (via Nerdleaks), game producer Rod Fergusson noted that Gears of War 4 will be a ?graphical showcase? for the Xbox One. It seems that The Coalition may be doing its best to bring out the full potential of Xbox One?s processing power.
?Delivering [with Ultimate Edition] the first 60fps multiplayer experience in franchise history really taught us a lot about what it means to have a 60fps culture on the team and we?re leveraging that experience for Gears of War 4,? said Fergusson as he looked back at the visuals of Gears of War Ultimate Edition.
Fergusson looked at the current graphical offerings of Halo 5: Guardians as a basis of what the Xbox One is capable of. His goal is to show the best visuals possible for Microsoft?s latest console. Fegrusson, who worked on the original series, said, ?Like how the original Gears of War was a visual showcase for the Xbox 360, Gears of War 4 will be a graphical showcase for the Xbox One.?
Aside from Halo 5: Guardians, another game that offers solid 60fps framerate on the Xbox One is Forza 6. With the offerings of these two titles, the graphical showcase Fergusson promises is possible. Fans can only hope that the gameplay is very solid as well.
Gears of War 4 is scheduled to launch sometime this fall. No exact release date has been set for the anticipated title yet.
