Ubisoft is apparently working on a new Splinter Cell game. The company has not shared any details regarding the game during E3 2016 or any other events. However, an insider from the studio has leaked the details suggesting that a Mocap studio in Toronto has already started working on the upcoming title. The news comes from two different sources, and it seems that the company might unveil the details anytime soon. Will we see the game at Gamescom 2016?
A ?Neogaf user claims that he has strong sources in the game development company where the motion capturing for the game is taking place. According to him, voice actor Michael Ironside is apparently returning to the game as Sam Fisher. If the rumors are something to go by, we won?t have to wait for a long time to see the new game.
Ubisoft released Splinter Cell: Blacklist, the stealth video game in 2013. If Ubisoft follows the same release pattern for the Splinter Cell franchise games, 2016 can be considered as the best time for the game. The previous game came out in 2013, and since then, no information regarding any new title has surfaced.
Meanwhile, Ubisoft is giving away Splinter Cell free for PC as part of the seven games the company is giving away to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Fans can download the game as it is available for a limited period of time only.
Just like the other game developers, Ubisoft is also known for bringing surprises to fans. The company has announced its presence in Gamescom 2016, and there are chances that Ubisoft may announce the new Splinter Cell game during this event. However, the company has not officially confirmed the arrival of this game, but in its official blog, the company suggested for fans to wait for some exclusive stuff.
?The Ubisoft booth [Gamescom 2016] will be packed full of activities, including stage shows of our biggest games, exclusive presentations,? said Ubisoft.
Gamescom 2016 will be held in Cologne, Germany from August 17 to August 21. For the latest gaming news, make sure to check out TheBitBag.
