The awaited ending to Game of Thrones Season 6 will finally air this Sunday, and various theories have surfaced on what?s expected to be an epic conclusion. Game of Thrones Season 6 episode 10 will feature the judgment day for Ser Loras and Cersei. While some are expecting for Cersei to be killed off, the show may instead axe Tommen in a surprising turn of events. Meanwhile, the show?s finale episode may finally feature Jon Snow?s real identity and see him transform to Azor Ahai.?Here are some of the Game of Thrones Season 6 theories:
Tommen will die
Surprising deaths are not new in GoT, and in Game of Thrones Season 6 episode 10, the?likely casualty is Tommen, the current king of Westeros. As the hit series? finale photos show, Sunday?s episode will see the trial and possibly execution of Loras and Cersei. While some believe that the villainess will finally face her death, it may be unlikely as The Hollywood Reporter stated that Lena Headey, who plays the character, has been given a hefty raise for the next season. This means that Cersei will continue to survive in the show, at least until Season 7. Besides, though the character has lost her?zest in the current season, she’s still considered important in the overall story. For all we know, the old cunning and feisty Cersei may come back soon enough.
In line with this, it?s possible that Tommen will be the one to die instead in the finale. Telegraph reports that in a GoT flashback episode, it was prophesied that Cersei?s children will all die before her. Currently, Tommen remains her only living child. Heatstreet also theorizes that Tommen will kill himself in episode 10 by jumping out a window. It?s said that Cersei may blow up the Sept of Baelor with wildfire, killing the High Sparrow and even Margaery in the process. This will reportedly result in Tommen?s decision to kill himself.
Jon Snow?s Parents Will Be Revealed & He?ll Transform to Azor Ahai
Heatstreet has come up with a list of predictions for Game of Thrones Season 6 episode 10, and it includes the revelation of Jon Snow?s parents. The Tower of Joy scene has been teased in previous episodes, and the finale may finally feature Bran?s vision of it. Viewers may get to see if the famous R + L = J theory is actually true, which states that Jon is the real son of Lyanna and Rhaegar.
Meanwhile, it was also mentioned that Lightbringer, the sword of Azor Ahai, may be featured in episode 10. Azor Ahai is the Lord of Light which Melisandre has been talking about. According to the legend, his sword of flames was finally correctly crafted when he drove the sword into his wife?s chest.
Since Jon was resurrected, Melisandre believed that he is the promised one, and in the finale, Jon may finally have his Lightbringer. According to the site?s theory, Jon may behead Melisandre for killing Princess Shireen. When he does so, the Red Witch?s blood may turn out to be the necessary component for Jon?s own sword of flames.
More exciting events are expected to unfold in GoT?s finale episode. Tune in to Game of Thrones Season 6 episode 10 on Sunday at 9 pm on HBO to find out the epic conclusion to this season.
