Game of Thrones is dark and full of bombshells (mostly in the form of deaths), so it’s no surprise that fans give themselves a heads up by reading theories online. While most of them do not come to fruition in the show, there are actually some which predict what’s exactly coming.

Speaking to Huffington PostGame of Thrones actor Isaac Hempstead Wright revealed that he usually reads theories too, despite knowing what’s going to happen next to his character. For those who may not know him by his real name, Hempstead Wright plays the role of Bran Stark in the HBO hit.

“God, I love it,” the 17-year-old said while talking about fan theories. He recalled reading one about Hodor’s death before the show’s big reveal in Season 6, Episode 5 and said it was surprisingly “dead-on.”

“I remember reading when I got sent the script for Season 6, and it had Hodor’s death in it. I thought, ‘God, this is amazing. Let me Google this to see if anyone came up with a theory,’ and of course there was some guy on some forum somewhere who had come up with ‘hold the door,’ ‘hold the door.’ It was in a slightly different context, but he got it absolutely dead-on, so it’s like anything really could happen.”

Since the show has finally caught up with the books, only the cast and crew now know what will happen next season. When asked whether or not there are accurate Game of Thrones Season 7 theories online, the actor confirmed there are indeed some which hit the bullseye. “There are times you read it and go, ‘Holy shit! Yep, they’ve got it,’” he said.

It’s one of the envious perks of being a Game of Thrones actor, but this isn’t the case when it comes to Season 8. Since the filming has not yet started, the whole cast is now left in the dark as well when it comes to the fate of their characters. Hempstead Wright told the outlet that he has no idea how the show will end. So what does he do? He reads fan theories again.

Since there’s a high chance that some of the Game of Thrones Season 7 theories are accurate, we’ve listed a brief description of the popular ones below. (Spoilers ahead!)

Did Bran build the wall?

The theory suggests that the young Stark might have traveled to the past to become other Bran Starks throughout history. This includes Brandon “Bran” the Builder who built the wall and was credited for raising Winterfell. Supporting this claim is Old Nan’s apparent confusion in differentiating the present Bran to the old ones, including Brandon Stark who was left beyond the wall with the White Walkers.

Will Bran warg into a dragon?

This prediction largely stems from the Three-eyed Raven’s statement to Bran: “You’ll never walk again, but you will fly.” This links to the three-headed dragon theory which claims there should be three dragon riders. The best candidates so far are Daenerys and Jon Snow, leaving one seat up for grabs.

Other fans speculate that it would be Tyrion. However, PopSugar reports that with the above-mentioned dialogue, the idea of Bran as the third rider doesn’t seem so far-fetched.

Does Jon have a twin?

The theory we’re talking about is how Jon Snow and Meera Reed could be brother and sister. Not only are they of the same age, they both have the same haircut as well.

We can recall that the previous season revealed that dying aunt Lyanna handed baby Jon Snow to Ned Stark. The only other person at the Tower of Joy during that time was Howland Reed, Meera’s father. Even though the show did not show it, it’s possible that Lyanna gave birth to another child moments after.

Ned may have given the other child to his pal Howland to help him protect them from the Baratheon and Lannister armies. What do you think? Which of the theories do you want to see materialize in Game of Thrones Season 7? Let us know in the comments section below.

Game of Thrones Season 7 premieres on July 16.
