Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin could not hide his dismay (and/or disgust) over Donald Trump winning the election. The mastermind behind the Song of Ice and Fire series shares his deepest thoughts and emotions in a new blog post. ?Winter is coming. I told you so.?
The post from his LiveJournal was entitled President P—ygrabber. The author said, “There are really no words for how I feel this morning. America has spoken. I really thought we were better than this. Guess not. Trump was the least qualified candidate ever nominated by a major party for the presidency. Come January, he will become the worst president in American history, and a dangerously unstable player on the world stage. Over the next four years, our problems are going to get much, much worse.”
On a Lighter Note…
Okay, let’s take a breather guys. That was so depressing. True or not, that would make one want to just crawl under the sheets and hibernate for the next four years. So on a lighter note, let’s see what’s up for Game of Thrones season 7, shall we?
Huffington Post had just reported that a Reddit user with the name awayforthelads posted specific spoiler alerts. Those who’ve read it could easily say it was just a fan playing a crazy guessing game. Until Watchers on the Wall started confirming some of the plot points and included some photographs. Then voila! The Redditor’s account suddenly vanished into thin air. Consequently, HBO remained relatively quiet about the leak. This is really unusual compared to their reaction for season 5 episodes. If those were genuine leaks however, fans are sure to go crazy!
So the leaked plot says there’s an alliance forged between Cersei, Dany and Jon to fight and win against the White Walkers. Jon will not bow down to Dany, but agrees to relinquish his King In The North title if she would help him fight the threat in the north. Then comes viewers’ most anticipated sequences in the entire series. Cersei, Tyrion, Jon, Daenerys, Jorah, Varys, Missandei, Qyburn, Euron Greyjoy, The
Mountain AND The Hound will all be at the Dragon Pit in King’s landing. In here, Jon brought an undead wight in order to prove that the seven kingdoms must unite against the Night’s King.
I told you so. Let?s just wait and see what really happens next. Oh, am I talking about the Game of Thrones or the Trump presidency? Both.
