Khal Drogo?s death, which was caused by a mere pillow to his face, was totally unfitting for a great warrior. The scene still haunts fans of Games of Thrones to this day. There might be a chance to unsee that pitiful image though, since rumor has it that Khal Drogo is making a comeback in Game of Thrones Season 7.
Jason Momoa, who played Khal Drogo, Daenery?s now deceased husband, was spotted in one of the locations being used by the series. The location was said to be in Northern Ireland and Momoa was hanging out with GoT crew. ?
The idea came about, not because of the photo but Momoa?s cryptic caption which was ALOHA DROGO. See Instagram photo below:
WinterisComing (fan website) confirmed that GoT is not shooting right now and they are scheduled to start during the winter months. Though who knows, Momoa could be there for the pre-production phase, which is ongoing. The site also mentions that Momoa has been using Aloha Drogo in other posts but these images seem to have been deleted. Fans theorize that producers asked Momoa to take down the posts to avoid releasing spoilers.
Still, other fans are skeptical about the news of Drogo?s return, given that his body are supposed to be ashes (or dust), but we know GoT is no stranger to resurrections – insert Jon Snow?s controversial return to the series last season. Jon remains dead in the book. Though as we know, George R.R. Martin reserves the right to change the tv series? plot.
Will Khal Drogo return as a ghost or will the series pull off another Jon Snow resurrection?
Some speculate that Drogo is to return in a vision for the Khaleesi before she goes off to war in Game of Thrones Season 7.
Well, we have no way of knowing until winter comes in April 2017.
We?d love to hear your thoughts on this. Do you want Khal Drogo to return as a ghost or be get resurrected, GoT style? Post your comments below.
