Samsung has a new 6-inch display clad smartphone under development. The device named ?Galaxy C9? was recently spotted in the Zauba database, which is the import/export tracker in India.

The Samsung Galaxy C9, internally referred as “Amy,” is tied to the model number SM-C9000. It is worth noting that the Galaxy C5 comes with a 5.2-inch display. The Galaxy C7, on the other hand, features a huge 5.7-inch display.

In comparison, the Galaxy C9 listing in?Zauba points to a whopping 6-inch screen. Usually, OEMs with development and testing centers in India send the upcoming devices to this country for testing. This also means the release could be anytime soon.

Tech Times, on the other hand, says the Galaxy C9 release date can be expected sometime in October or November 2016.

The Samsung C series is not a high-end lineup. Hence, it is safe to assume that the ubiquitous Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC will not power this device. However, the expectation is that the internal configurations will be backed by a generous 4GB of RAM.

The C9 has been rumored to come equipped with 32GB of native storage space. Also, expect a microSD card slot to facilitate expansion.

The Galaxy C7 sports a 16-megapixel sensor at the back and hence, Samsung will not house anything lesser than this configuration.

Apart from these we do not have much information to share. However, we are hoping to see this handset visit certification sites like TENAA or FCC soon, and give out key configurations.
