The latest leaks confirm the Galaxy A9 smart-phone features Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 chipset and other specs are revealed.
The Galaxy A9 will feature the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 SoC according to the ANN. The SD620 is of octa-core design with four Cortex-A53 CPU cores, four Cortex-A72 cores and supported by the Adreno 510 GPU.? The device will be running the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. This will be one of the first devices to support Qualcomm?s midrange SoC.
According to Realty Today the new Galaxy A9 handset will be powered by oct-core chip that has 1.4 GHz speed and an MSM8976 motherboard. The processor will be backed up by 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.?IBTimes reports that the Galaxy A9 has pretty impressive performance scoring 1,446 and 4,134 points in single core-and multi-core testing. It was also revealed the device will come with Cat 6 LTE modem technology that allows 300Mbps of download speed. The phone will also support 4K video shooting and quick charge 2.0 technology.
The other specifications of the phone include that it supports 32GB internal storage and as well as capacity to expand storage upto 128GB through MicroSD card slot. The Galaxy A9 will feature 6.0 inch FULL HD AMOLED display with 1080p resolution. The device is also set to feature 16 mega-pixel rear camera with HDR and Auto-focus and 5 mega-pixel front camera. The connectivity option s in the phone would include Bluetooth 4.0 LE, NFC, GPS according to CP. There is however no information regarding the battery capacity of the phone.
Though there is no official statement as to when the new A9 will be released, rumours hint at release in December or in early 2016.The device will be released today in some Asian countries and some rumours hinted at possibility of December 9 release in Iran. There are also speculations regarding the arrival of Samsung Galaxy A7 smart-phone in the coming year.
