After delivering a successful hit in Frozen, Walt Disney is now all set to make a sequel to the movie. Exciting, isn?t it?
And with so much excitement over Frozen 2 and so much pressure on the production staff to make a film that will top – or at least be as good as – the commercially successful and critically acclaimed Frozen, it’s no wonder that Disney CEO Bob Iger has announced that the company will not fast-track the film. In January, Iger said, “We’re not demanding speed. We’re demanding excellence.”
Meanwhile, directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, the duo who brought the beloved blockbuster hit “Frozen” to life, are returning to direct the sequel. And while Buck told MTV News that the directors had just got back together and started brainstorming, he did say that they had a very strong overall concept in place, reported Christian Post.
Recently, Chris Buck teased that they are well aware of where they are actually going with the forthcoming movie Frozen 2 while he states that it will contain a powerful and optimistic message for the children.
During an interaction, the director unveiled that they are concern about what happening around the society and the much influence movies have on children, so they aren?t taking the movie lightly. It is also rumored that Frozen 2 is going to be LGBT-friendly, reports?Movie News Guide.
?When the kids [watch] them, they watch them over and over again, and if we don?t have a decent message in there, I think we?ve missed an opportunity,? Buck explained.
Since the relation between Anna and Elsa is the center of the story, the sequel will reprise the ladies’ strong character. Frozen 2 will be light and fun with some dramatic and emotional twist in the end.
“We have an overall idea, a concept, which I think is a very strong one. I?m very excited about doing it,” Buck added who is still exchanging ideas with Lee for the upcoming sequel of Disney’s “Frozen,” Realty Today?reports.
The production unit hasn’t disclosed much about the sequel which will be released on 2017.
