When free Titanfall 2 DLC was announced by EA Games, fans were shocked. EA has been criticized for expensive DLC purchases, like the US$49.99 season pass for Star Wars Battlefront. The fact that they would be giving free DLC was shocking. Even more surprising was the quality of the Titanfall sequel, as many have claimed that it’s one of the best games of the year.
Fans will have more to be pleased about, as the first bit of free DLC comes out on November 30. Like the developers promised, fans will be getting new maps and weapons for free. In this case, it’s actually a re-introduction of an old map called Angel City. Players will also be getting an in-game store and new Titan kits.
Apparently, players should be happy with the Angel City map as free Titanfall 2 DLC. Those that played the first game loved this area, so people playing the sequel should love it as well. Players who pre-ordered will get the map early on November 30, while the rest will get it on December 3.
Titan Kits will also be available soon. Here are the kits that fans will be able to get:
- Ion: Refraction Lens ? Splitter Rifle splits five ways
- Scorch: Scorched Earth ? Flame Core ignites the ground, leaving thermite in it’s wake
- Tone: Burst Loader ? Aiming allows the 40mm to store up to three shots to burst fire
- Legion: Hidden Compartment ? Power Shot has two charges
- Ronin: Phase Reflex ? When doomed, Ronin phases out of danger
Coming with the free Titanfall 2 DLC will be the game’s in-game store. Here, players will be able to purchase new skins, camo and Prime Titans for a ?modest price.? The developers might be serious though, since they stated that none of the in-game store content will break the game. Everything in the store is for visual flavor and nothing else, according to the Titanfall website.
Gamers that are fans of first-person shooters can pick up Titanfall 2 right now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Currently, it is one of the best reviewed games of 2016. Along with Doom, it might be one of the best FPS games of the year. ?
