Apple has recently received a lot of complaints concerning the faultiness of the cameras of some iPhone 6 Plus devices, so the company has announced its intention to repair the problem. According to the support page on Apple?s website, the company has taken the responsibility of fixing the iSight camera on iPhone 6 Plus devices that were sold mainly between September of last year and January.
iSight Camera Replacement Program
?Apple has determined that, in a small percentage of iPhone 6 Plus devices, the iSight camera has a component that may fail causing your photos to look blurry. The affected units fall into a limited serial number range and were sold primarily between September 2014 and January 2015,? Apple?s website posted.
The replacement program formed by Apple can help devices with problems on the rear camera be replaced if the results of the photos cause blurry images and are those within the dates of the announced months. ?If your iPhone 6 Plus is producing blurry photos and fall into the eligible serial number range, Apple will replace your device?s iSight camera, free of charge.?
But before you take your iPhone 6 into the replacement process; be sure to back up your data to iTunes or iCloud. Note that they will only replace the camera of the iPhone 6 Plus and not the unit, so you iPhone ?will be examined prior to any service to verify that it is eligible for this program and in working order,? shared by Apple?s support page.
?If your iPhone 6 Plus has any damage such as a cracked screen which impairs the camera replacement, that issue will need to be resolved prior to service. In some cases, there may be a cost associated with the repair.?
