Forza Horizon 3 Blizzard Mountain Not Working? Here’s How To Access The Expansion

By on

Forza Horizon 3: Blizzard Mountain has finally been released for the Xbox One and PC. This is the first huge expansion for the Microsoft exclusive racer and it has excited many an Xbox player. While excitement for the expansion pack is high, it looks like a minor bug has threatened to lessen it.

Various reports have come in about the Blizzard Mountain expansion not working when purchased through the game. Apparently, fans have been getting the message, ?failed to download marketplace data? when trying to get it. This has been troublesome and has saddened fans of the exciting racing title. While it will likely be fixed, there is a quick solution to get the expansion.

Players should download Forza Horizon 3: Blizzard Mountain from the Xbox Live store, according to this Reddit user. This might sound like a super simple solution, but the amount of users thanking the post shows that it works. It’s a shame that players won’t be able to get the DLC through the game itself, but that’s a minor complaint.

Sadly, the expansion pack has other problems. Another Reddit user said that there is a bug when you try to access multiplayer. Players have stated that they were brought to the Standard Mode when picking multiplayer in Blizzard Mountain.

Thankfully, there is also a quick fix to this. Players can choose one of the multiplayer modes through the Blizzard Mountain tab on the pause menu. Once this is done, players should be able to play the expansion in multiplayer.

Forza Horizon 3 Blizzard Mountain Needs A Hot Fix

Given these problems that are in Forza Horizon 3: Blizzard Mountain, a patch is needed. Knowing how modern games work, an update should come and fix this soon. How soon is still a question, but players should make their voices heard to the developers.

It’s a shame that the game’s paid expansion had to suffer through these problems. Most players will still get a kick out of it, especially with the quick fixes and new cars, but that isn’t the point. Frankly, these type of problems shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Then again, game bugs will always be difficult to fix, since updates can cause new problems.

Forza Horizon 3: Blizzard Mountain is available now for US$19.99. It can also be purchased as part of the US$34.99 season pass. ?
