Forza 7 to spearhead Project Scorpio June launch

It is not a secret that Microsoft has something exciting up its sleeve. The highly anticipated Project Scorpio is said to be the most powerful gaming console ever. With its six-teraflop processing power, it is only fitting that it includes a number of high-end game titles in the list. Good news is, it would seem that Microsoft is quite serious in delivering the promised 4K gaming experience on the Project Scorpio console.

According to Windows Central, Microsoft has already picked a number of game titles that for the Project Scorpio launch. Among the list of games, Forza 7 is the top pick. The software giant feels that the game will be able to give Project Scorpio the justice it deserves. Also, it will be able to properly showcase its superb 4K gaming experience.

In addition to Forza 7, DICE and EA will also be unveiling the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront 2 game during the launch. This, in fact, is not really surprising at all. The game developer has already announced the news last year when the Project Scorpio was first introduced.

Perhaps one of the most surprising title to be listed for the Microsoft gaming console is Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2. This is partly because when the sequel to the original game was just announced last year. Furthermore, there was no mention of it getting a Project Scorpio release.

To make things a bit more interesting, Microsoft is also perfecting the console’s resolution scaling. This is to make older Xbox One titles playable on the Project Scorpio. Standard 900p to 1080p games will be upscaled to 4K while maintaining gameplay stability.

At the moment, it would seem that the upcoming high-end gaming console is still slated for a late 2017 release. However, it has already been set that it will officially be unveiled during this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 2017) in Los Angeles. Perhaps during the said event, Microsoft will also announce how much the console will cost and when exactly gamers can start to pre-order.
