The Flash Season 2 returns with a surprise as a new female speedster arrives in Central City in the upcoming episode 16 titled Trajectory.
International Business Times reveals the synopsis for the episode: ?Deciding to blow off some steam, Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team head out for a night on the town only to encounter an unexpected speedster who is up to no good. Iris (Candice Patton) is challenged by an assignment from her new boss (guest star Tone Bell), and is surprised when friction turns to flirtation.?
The female speedster?s name is Eliza Harmon aka ?Trajectory? who will be played by Allison Paige. IBT also notes via TVLine a description of Harmon?s character as an ?exceptionally bright scientist? with a ?split personality? in the likes of Jekyll and Hyde. Ecumenical News adds that she will be getting our main speedster in trouble because she?s a thief and people would think that she?s The Flash.
A trailer for Trajectory begins with Cisco (Carlos Valdes) getting hyped up about finally meeting a lady speedster who is shown in the promo wearing red spandex and a mask. The trailer shouts out, ?A new speedster gets everyone distracted.? Cisco asks, ?Is he good looking?? while The Flash is said to have gone ?nuts.? The promo also showed action scenes with Trajectory punching The Flash in the face.
Ecumenical News also notes that Trajectory seems to be faster than our main speedster which might possibly be the reason for him to travel back in time in episode 17. But time travel is a complex thing in the show as fans saw in the past, so Barry might also encounter an old friend, Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) as well as a long-time enemy, Hartley Rathaway (Andy Mientus), as he travels back in time.
The return of The Flash from its two-week hiatus will be an exciting one. Aside from a lady speedster and old friends and enemies returning, the series has also been renewed for a third season.
Catch The Flash Season 2 as it returns on March 22 on CW.
