Both Five Nights at Freddy’s-related sites, Scottgames.com and Fnafworld.com, have been updated to show new. Fans are currently convinced that these teases are related to the upcoming The Twisted Ones novel launching later this month. Here’s what we know about these reveals so far.
Two New Reveals
Normally, Five Nights at Freddy’s creator Scott Cawthon replaces the front page images of Scottgames.com and Fnafworld.com to hint about a new release. The Scottgames site currently shows a picture of a damaged, fungi-covered Freddy clawing himself out of a flaming pit. Meanwhile, the Fnafworld site just shows a pair of glowing animatronic eyes. At face value, these images mean nothing, but Cawthon is surely drumming something new for the series.
Image File Names Hint Toward Novel
Checking each sites’ source code reveals some hidden clues. The Fnafworld.com image is titled “iamstillhere” which could be talking about the previous character dialogues found within the source code of the two Cawthon-owned sites.
Meanwhile, the Scottgames image is titled “Twisted_Freddy,” which could be the next version of animatronics for the upcoming FNaF content. Each major entry of Five Nights at Freddy’s had a different version of the four main animatronics: Freddy, Bonnie, Foxy, and Chica. These animatronic versions of the main cast are considered as separate characters in the whole FNaF story canon. The “Twisted” animatronics could be the main enemy in the novel as it is titled “The Twisted Ones.”
Two More Twists
Meanwhile, Emilmacko’s thread on the Five Nights at Freddy’s subreddit confirmed two new Twisted animatronics, namely Twisted Bonnie and Twisted Wolfie. As usual, a “Twisted” version of Bonnie isn’t a surprise right now, but the regular Wolfie hasn’t even appeared once in the whole series. Potentially, this could be the next Five Nights at Freddy’s “Foxy” character variant as he was replaced with similar looking characters, but was named differently, like Mangle. The two images had the “LadyFiszi” signature and found off the Scottgames site, which could confirm the validity of these images.
So far, the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie and novel are Cawthon’s projects that are likely to come out soon. Cawthon has confirmed that he’s been working with Blumhouse Productions (Paranormal Activity, Get Out) to make the movie. Meanwhile, fans are just waiting for the novel’s release this June 27. Other projects like the remake and a potential new entry still don’t have any official updates as of now. For now, the novel has the best chance to have these “Twisted” animatronics because of its title and proximity of the teases before its release.
