Five Nights at Freddy’s Movie Release Date, Cast & Spoilers: Film Premiere Set; Will Feature Sister Location Characters

The film adaptation of the popular video game by Scott Cawthon has been long awaited. As a matter of fact, it has been more than a year since Warner Bros. snagged the producing rights. Reports were claiming that Five Nights at Freddy’s movie release date might occur on 2018.

Unfortunately, official announcement has not been made as of the moment. However, as GameNGuide reported, the film rendition might hit the screen most probably next year.

Five Nights at Freddy’s Movie Release Date – What We Know So Far

One thing for sure is that avid gamers and fans alike are very much anticipating the film’s release. Some are also anxious that the FNaF movie might be dismissed. The creator himself, Scott Cawthon, gave the fans some assurance hinting that the film is currently under development.


He said on Steam that, “The script is still being worked on. The people involved are taking the movie seriously, which is a definitely a good thing!”

Speculations about the characters included within the movie are also circulating around the web. Some claim that FNaF movie might feature the Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location characters. This might be a possibility since the announcement and the game installation happened at the same time.

These characters might include Funtime Freddy, Circus Baby, Funtime Foxy, Lolbit and many more.

FNaF Film Relevant Details

As mentioned before, the film rendition will be under Warner Bros. The FNaF movie will be produced by Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment. Lee will work side-by-side with KatzSmith Productions’ Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg.

Cawthon prides himself with his game as he said, “The story really lends itself to being a movie, and it taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to.”

At the same time, producer Grahame-Smith said that, “We?re looking forward to working with Scott to make an insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie.”
