The second season of the Five Nights at Freddy’s novel series has long been confirmed. Five Nights at Freddy’s The Twisted Ones novel has been confirmed on Amazon and is expected to be released this June 27. Here’s what we know so far about the Five Nights at Freddy’s The Twisted Ones novel.
The Twisted Ones
According to its Amazon listing, the Five Nights at Freddy’s The Twisted Ones will be released on June 27. The second FNaF novel will still have the first book’s authors, namely Five Nights at Freddy’s creator Scott Cawthon and writer Kira Breed-Wrisley. Similar to the first book, the novel will still follow Charlie who is somehow related to the creator of the animatronics.
The plot summary of the Five Nights at Freddy’s The Twisted Ones on Amazon states that Charlie is still trying to forget the horrors of the animatronics. However, she finds more animatronic victims near her school, which means the horrors are far from over. Charlie will have to face the animatronic threat again and will have to finally deal with “something twisted” that will relentlessly hunt her down. Few clues about its other characters such as her animatronic creator father and possibly the titular “Twisted One” was mentioned in the summary.
The Silver Eyes
The Silver Eyes novel covered Charlie’s life and encounters with Dave Miller, also known as William Afton. Afton was a serial killer which had seven victims. He presumably died after Charlie triggered the Springlocks in his Animatronic suit, and animatronics dragged his bleeding body away from the scene.
Potentially, Afton may make a return as the “Twisted One” hunting Charlie down. In the Five Nights at Freddy’s lore, the murdered children were able to possess the pizzeria’s animatronics and tried to kill any human being they encounter. Afton’s dying body may have allowed him to possess the same animatronic suit that he died in. If the familiar wounds mentioned in the summary are from animatronics, it makes sense that an animatronic Afton will try to kill Charlie to get revenge.
Potentially, the recent Five Nights at Freddy’s Sister Location characters may make an appearance or may be referenced in this book. Sister Location’s ending left three characters, Ennard, “Mike,” and their “father” currently at large, trying to fulfill their own goals. The novel may be used to extend the story of those characters and possibly set the series up for a new game.
However, Cawthon has barely mentioned this novel or even a next game entry for the series. Recently, Cawthon announced that he’ll be working closely in the production of Five Nights at Freddy’s movie, and it’s unknown if he’ll be able to allot time for a new game in the middle of it.
