Five Nights At Freddy's

Recently, Five Nights at Freddy?s creator Scott Cawthon spoke about the game?s release on the consoles. However, Cawthon is taking his time and being careful with the studio he picks to keep his rights and creative direction in check. Despite Cawthon still picking partner companies, he has confirmed that he has found a candidate for this. Will we see a console Five Nights at Freddy?s game soon?

Cawthon?s Console Deal

On the?Five Night Guy?s Steam Discussion thread, Cawthon revealed that the console Five Nights at Freddy?s development is slow as he?s carefully picking the company to partner with. He?s taking his time to pick the right game studio that?ll let him have creative freedom and approval rights to the game. Cawthon notes that this might be a problem for the development in the future, so he?s carefully choosing now.

Cawthon?s Pick

Fans need not worry about Cawthon taking too long as he already is leaning on one game studio to help him develop the title. However, he didn?t reveal the game studio in his announcement. At best, we?ll have to wait until Cawthon finally decides on the game company.

“I’ve had to turn down several different companies, for different reasons,” Cawthon said. “Giving the wrong company a license would be reckless, and a huge disservice to the fanbase,” he added.

Port or New Game?

Since Cawthon discussed about rights and creative freedom in his post, it?s possible that he?s aiming to make a whole new game on consoles. Having a full game studio helm his IP might be too much for just?porting a game. Cawthon is focused on not giving a disservice to the fanbase. More than releasing ports on the console, the Five Nights at Freddy?s fans may want a larger game than usual. Fans may get disappointed if Cawthon releases a game without new content or makes the most out of the console?s hardware at least.

Cawthon has some RPG game experience with FNaF World. It?s possible that Cawthon won?t just come up with a seven-day adventure of a character trying to survive the animatronics by flipping switches. For now, we?ll have to wait for what Cawthon?s planning for the Five Nights at Freddy?s console game.
