I’m a Celebrity ? Get me Out of Here! winner Brendan Fevola, 35, has promised to donate $50k of his winnings to the embattled Shane Warne charity group. According to News Australia, Fevola said during an interview that he will be donating half of his winnings to Warne.
Although his good deed is going to benefit the Foundation, others can?t help but think where will his donation end up. The Shane Warne Foundation has been linked to several issues of misuse of funds, rooting from extravagant gala dinners, poker tournaments and celebrity cricket matches.
The Shane Warne Foundation started in 2004, but after almost 12 years of serving the seriously ill children of Australia, they suddenly announced in January of 2016 that they are closing their doors. The announcement however, came after the foundation was accused of ?financial mismanagement.?
At one point, the foundation was accused of putting only 16 cents of every dollar donated to the foundation and the rest of the money for the cost of its administration.
Brendan Fevola, during an interview revealed that half of his winnings will go to the foundation. He also added ?I know I?ve won the $100,000, so I?m going to give half, $50,000, to the Mark Hughes Foundation, because he?s my best mate.?
The I’m a Celebrity winner is known to have a rough past despite having a beautiful family. In a separate report by News Australia, Brendan Fevola said that joining the I?m a Celebrity challenge has changed his life.
During his interview, he said ?It was important for me to come on this show, to show people that I?m not an idiot. I have stuffed up in the past and the hardest thing I think is with the family.?
Fevola is currently basking on the praise that he?s getting from his partner, Alex. Along with their two children, he said that they?re all that matters now. Currently, Fevola is working for sports apparel, CGR Sportswear and Alex?s sister?s transport business.
