Final Fantasy XV PC To Release On Steam Next Year Alongside FFVII Remake

Now that Square Enix?s latest Final Fantasy entry in the series is released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It appears that the company is now eyeing a PC release. While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, reports suggest that Final Fantasy XV PC is coming alongside the Final Fantasy VII Remake in 2018.

According to latest reports, development for the PC versions of Final Fantasy XV and VII Remake might?ve already started. While the chances are high, Final Fantasy XV and Final Fantasy VII Remake is not likely coming until early to mid-2018.

Judging by Square Enix?s past history game releases, the company has been consistently releasing almost every FinalFantasy game on PC. As a matter of fact, some older Final Fantasy games that go back to the time of PlayStation 1&2 have already been brought to PC, thanks to PC?s backward compatibility.

Furthermore, Final Fantasy XV PC and Final Fantasy VII Remake aren’t?the only RPG game coming to PC. In fact, recent rumors suggest that Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lion, Chrono Trigger, and Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will also be appearing on Steam next year. However, the information stated above should be taken with a grain of salt until Square Enix?s official announcement comes in.

Final Fantasy XV release on consoles is undoubtedly successful. It has shipped a massive number of copies in its first week. At the present time, Square Enix is busy developing DLCs and additional content for Final Fantasy XV. Because of this, the PC announcement might take a long time.

Furthermore, Hajime Tabata, previously stated that he?s interested in the idea of not just making a port, but also creating?a new version for PC. According to Tabata, he wants to make a different Final Fantasy XV game that could take advantage of the power of PCs. Tabata stated that he has different plans on Final Fantasy XV PC. Something that is not possible to consoles given their limited hardware capability.
