Final Fantasy XV DLC First Look: New Areas, Storylines, And Old FF Bosses Take The Spotlight, Gilgamesh Returns

Final Fantasy XV is a great standalone RPG with tons of replayability. But whether or not you?re already happy with the game so far, you should definitely consider taking a look at the season pass that?s finally out. Final Fantasy XV?s DLC will feature news areas, storylines, old Final Fantasy bosses!

Great New Content

The season pass is already available on the PS4 but the actual content isn?t ready to be downloaded. For the meantime though, producer Haruyoshi Sawatari reveals what to expect in the DLC.

The producer explained that the DLC will come in four separate parts. Each parts is unique from one another because each one will feature the story of a Final Fantasy XV character.

There is also a plethora of great new content coming in with the season pass. Three new playable characters will become available.

New maps, items, and boss battles will also be added. And it has been confirmed that some of the boss battles will be the return of classic bosses from previous Final Fantasy games such as Gilgamesh.

And finally, your solo quest may soon come to an end. Multiplayer mode will finally be added into the game. This will let you interact and play with other players, making your quest even more exciting.

Final Fantasy XV DLC: Gilgamesh

Producer Sawatari also revealed some info one of the new story lines in the season pass. It was detailed that Gladio would abruptly leave the party for an urgent matter, then return with a new scar. This would then prompt the player for mission to find and defeat Gilgamesh.

Gilgamesh is a recurring boss in the Final Fantasy franchise. But what makes him special is how he?s been dubbed Final Fantasy?s version of Deadpool. Is largely due to his witty banter and for often breaking the fourth wall in the game.

But don?t take his humor lightly, he?s set to be a tough opponent. Sawatari described the fight with him to be an epic one.

But Gilgamesh may not the only old boss to make a return on Final Fantasy XV. Odds are we?ll be seeing other franchise big baddies. Sawatari says that the upcoming update will surprise loyal players who have supported the franchise.
