There are tons of Final Fantasy titles under ?the Final Fantasy series. Spin-offs, direct sequels, and entire cross-overs on either the universe of Final Fantasy or the gameplay itself, and Square Enix is one of the most popular JRPG publishers in the west. From one of the first well-received Final Fantasy games like Final Fantasy VII up to the more recent Final Fantasy XIII along with its crossovers, the Final Fantasy name has become a household name in gaming.
The sad thing is, despite being a well-received series, not all of its titles make it offshore Japan, and some stay exclusive in Japanese territories. One good example is Final Fantasy Type-0 for the PSP system. It did very well in Japan, and oddly enough, it didn?t even see the light of the day in western shores. Even with PS Vita?s arrival.
Still, the support for the title is extremely strong, which is why the director of Final Fantasy Type-0 thinks that this is one good reason to have a port of the game in the US after all.
?The voice of our Western fans was instrumental in the development of FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0, and we?re very excited to release this title soon. The new PlayStation?4 system and Xbox One gaming and entertainment platform have really helped to re-envision this dynamic and turbulent world of Orience.?
The game will be, of course, in glorious HD in the next-gen console port, but aside from that, not much is known about the title and what the port will offer, aside from the entire gameplay and storyline.
Square Enix is, however, still quiet about the game?s release date for Final Fantasy Type-0 ,but one can expect great things with this next-gen port as it was with the recent Final Fantasy X/X-2 remake for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
