Good news is always accompanied by some bad news, or vice versa. The latter applies for?Final Fantasy Dissidia Opera Omnia?as the longer wait for the game will come with?a new and powerful character add-on.

Square Enix has earlier announced a delay of their upcoming smartphone Final Fantasy game, ?Final Fantasy Dissidia?Opera Omnia.?The game was supposed to launch in 2016, but it has now been pushed further to early 2017.

The delay was due to several bugs that needed to be fixed. But to compensate with this delay, the team behind Final Fantasy Dissidia Opera Omnia confirmed that there will be new and exciting characters that will join the Dissidia world.

Some of the anticipated characters are Final Fantasy V’s Galuf Halm Baldesion and Faris Scherwiz, and Final Fantasy IX’s Eiko. Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy XI characters such as Squall and Shantotto are also going to be included. Even the characters of Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Type-0?s Vanille and Ace are going to appear.

Aside from these familiar and nostalgic characters, the trailer that Square Enix has shown also teased more characters in the form of silhouettes. Based on the figure of the silhouette, one of these characters could be Balthier from Final Fantasy XII.

Avid fans can also make out the silhouettes of Final Fantasy VI?s Setzer Gabbiani and Final Fantasy XI?s Prishe. There is even a shadow of Snow from Final Fantasy XIII and the character Cloud of Darkness from Final Fantasy III. Moreover, Final Fantasy X?s Tidus and Final Fantasy XIII?s Lightning, and even Final Fantasy Tactics? Ramza will be present as well.

However, the most exciting character to look forward to in Final Fantasy Dissidia Opera Omnia is the ?one winged angel? Sephiroth from the famous Final Fantasy VII. One teaser trailer shows that this character seems very powerful with abilities to catch enemies in a barrage of sword slashes.

Surely any player would want to have the bad-ass Sephiroth in any battle as an ally and would dread for him to be their enemy. With these latest developments, fans will surely be looking forward to the future release of Final Fantasy Dissidia Opera Omnia.
