Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Aside from Kingdom Hearts 3 and the upcoming Final Fantasy 15, fans are without a doubt excited for the upcoming remake of the PS1 classic, Final Fantasy 7. We know a lot about the game but the release date is still a mystery. However, a new Monopoly game based on the RPG classic might reveal a clue as to when the first episode of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be released.

A new Monopoly board game created by Merchoid is based solely on Final Fantasy 7. The game will feature all our favorite characters from the game including Cloud, Tifa, Barrett and even Sephiroth. The board itself will have areas derived from the game including a Mako reactor plant and of course Midgar. Pre-orders are now available at the Merchoid website and the Final Fantasy 7 Monopoly will cost $50.

The game will launch on April 14, 2017; a few months after the 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy 7. It could all be a matter of coincidence that the Monopoly will launch that same year but it?s also possible that its release will be accompanied by the Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

The game didn?t make an appearance at E3 2016 and fans were of course disappointed. But since it is the 20th anniversary of the original game next year, chances of it being released then are better than ever.

According to Square Enix, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be split into several episodes, thanks to the sheer size of the game. There is a possibility that the first episode will launch alongside its Monopoly version. If the two do not launch alongside each other, then their release dates might not be too far apart.
