Final Fantasy 7 Remake

One of the most anticipated video games that players want to release as soon as possible isn’t a new IP. When Square Enix revealed that they are remaking Final Fantasy 7, both those who’ve played the original and those who haven’t were easily hyped up. No release date has been pegged for the anticipated title yet but it looks like Square Enix is already working hard for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake PS4 release.

Square Enix recently posted a lot of job openings over at their website. The developer has a ton of new positions available, all possibly to rush the Final Fantasy 7 Remake PS4 release. From the look of things, Square Enix might be hastening the development process on the upcoming title with all the positions it’s looking for.

The developer is looking for a battle planner, level planner, and designers for backgrounds and visual effects. Most of the roles are crucial in the development process. We’ve yet to know why Square Enix is rushing things but it could be because it wants to release the first episode of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake soon.

The remake of the iconic RPG was first revealed back in E3 2015. Since then, we’ve gotten bits and pieces of how the game would be remade and Square Enix has even revealed a gameplay trailer for the anticipated title. Oddly enough, no release window has been set after all this time.

Since Square Enix is taking an episodic approach for the upcoming remake, many expected the first episode to release early. Anticipation grew further when Square Enix finally revealed some  gameplay screenshots last year. With so many job vacancies though, it’s possible we won’t see the first episode anytime soon.

Nonetheless, it’s still possible that we’ll see the game over at E3 once Square Enix takes the stage. Director Tetsuya Nomura said at an event last year that he was held back from showing new gameplay footage, hence why he showed screenshots instead. We can expect that the team is saving it for the big stage, such as E3.  As for a release date, the best we can hope for is that Square Enix comes prepared with a release frame.

The upcoming Final Fantasy 7 Remake is looking very impressive so far. The game looks and plays very different from the original 1997 title and fans are more than eager to get their hands on it.
