The developer will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of Final Fantasy. Moreover, Final Fantasy 7 will be celebrating its 20th anniversary. According to a report by DualShockers, Square Enix has decided to hold the Final Fantasy anniversary celebration on the same day as Final Fantasy 7?s. The event titled ?Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Opening Ceremony? will be at the TOHO Cinemas in Tokyo. The event is set for Jan. 31 which is also the 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy 7.
Only a few details about the event have been revealed so far. For now, the only confirmed part of the event is the display of an ice statue commemorating the anniversary of Final Fantasy 7. The ice statue named ?Final Battle! Snow Final Fantasy!? depicts a battle between Cloud and Sephiroth.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Details
With the two milestones being celebrated at the same time on Jan. 31, there might be big news regarding the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. For now, there?s no release date for the anticipated remake of the classic RPG. The event will be the perfect place to reveal the release date of the first part of the remake. If not a release date, players could still expect to see something new for the upcoming remake, including new gameplay footages and details.
