Square Enix may release a new ?Final Fantasy 7 Remake? gameplay trailer at this week’s Game Developers Conference, according to various rumors circling the internet. We know that GDC aims to inform gaming enthusiasts about the next-generation gaming technology and that the event is also a platform for introducing new games. In GDC 2016, we?ve already seen a new Unreal Engine trailer showcasing various games, so we can probably expect to see some more gameplay videos from games that use the engine such as Final Fantasy 15, Kingdom Hearts 3, and of course the Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
In an official blog post, Yoshinori Kitase said that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake will feature new game elements. The developer also stated that the Final Fantasy VI Remake is expected to go beyond what fans have seen in the original Final Fantasy 7 game.
Kitase said that with the Final Fantasy VII Remake, Square Enix may go beyond the storyline. The company will also reportedly take players beyond the world of FFVII. The original Final Fantasy 7 game was introduced on PlayStation One, but now the remake version of the game will be developed for the current-generation console and undoubtedly will feature better gameplay than the original one.
However, the changes may not be as pleasant as we expect them to be. Our previous report suggests how Square Enix can destroy the fun in the original game if it messes up with the storyline. Final Fantasy 7?s story is already good, but as the developer said, the studio will take the story of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake beyond the original game, so it is possible that the changes may make the upcoming remake a huge disappointment. Fans will have to wait and see until the game?s release though if that?s really the case.
