Final Fantasy 15 January Update

Square Enix urged players last month to download the Holiday Pack DLC in order to enjoy the upcoming Carnival event this January. Currently, fans are still waiting for Square Enix to announce the start date and what to do in the Moogle Chocobo Carnival event. Here’s what we know so far about this Final Fantasy 15 January update event.

Unusual RPG Event

According to the official Square Enix blog, the upcoming Moogle Chocobo Carnival event will only be accessible for a limited time only. Timed access events are unusual for non-multiplayer online Role Playing Games as players won’t be able to enjoy the experience with other people directly. Additionally, future players of Final Fantasy 15 way after its last update may not see this feature again. Players who have the Carnival Passport should go ahead and exhaust the event’s contents once they’re out.

Release Date

So far, Square Enix hasn’t officially revealed or given hints about the Moogle Chocobo Carnival event?s release date. Potentially, Square Enix may just surprise fans through a sneaky Final Fantasy 15 January update or unlock. Fans should also take note if there are any festive changes to the towns in the game as hints of the upcoming event.

Festive Altissia

As seen in the promotional image on the official blog, the Moogle Chocobo Carnival stands on a body of water with buildings around it. Additionally, the building architecture looks similar to Altissia buildings. Players may have to at least unlock Altissia before getting a chance to enjoy the event. It’s possible that the Moogle Chocobo Carnival area will be accessible to the Gondoliers once the event starts.

Potentially, the Moogle Chocobo Carnival event may also give way in showing the Moogles in the Final Fantasy 15 world. Along with the Chocobos, Moogles are also one of the mascot creatures of the whole Final Fantasy series. So far, there’s no living, breathing Moogle yet in the game. It’s possible that the Moogles will be tied to many of the Final Fantasy 15’s events in the future.

Update

Square Enix has officially announced that the Moogle Chocobo Carnival event will start on January 24. However, the studio failed to mention exactly when the event will end.
