Sad news for Harmonizers. The breakup of the popular girl band Fifth Harmony has already started with Camila Cabello?s exit. The five-member band has been reduced to just four members after they announced that Cabello had quit the Fifth Harmony.
The all-female singing troupe announced early on Monday morning that Cabello has decided to take her leave from the group. The pop act took to social media to announce the fateful news. Within minutes, the news spread like wildfire across Twitter and Facebook.
The message signed by the four remaining members said that Cabello?s ?representatives? were the ones who informed them of her heartbreaking decision.
?After 4 and a half years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony,? the statement read. ?We wish her well.?
The message also goes on to state that this is not the end of Fifth Harmony, and that the group will now continue with four singers. Remaining members are Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane Hansen and Lauren Jauregui.
Despite their commitment to continue as a foursome girl band, Fifth Harmony already seems to be heading for disbandment. The message posted Monday even hinted that the group members will continue to explore ?solo endeavors.? This could mean that future departures have already been planned.
Members Go for Solo Careers?
Cabello, however, hasn?t responded to the news so far. She is currently sitting on the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 with her solo song ?Bad Things? with rapper Machine Gun Kelly. Only an hour before Fifth Harmony?s Twitter announcement, Cabello had retweeted news of her song going gold in the United States.
Another member, Jauregui, is also seeking a solo career. The first solo effort of Jauregui was when she lent her vocals to a track without her 5H bandmates. The single was titled ?Back to Me? with Jauregui?s vocals being a feature for the band Marian Hill.
Also, it looks like Brooke could soon be joining the ranks of bandmates releasing music outside of the group. Fans have been speculating that Brooke?s parents may just have let slip that the star is working on a solo music of her own. Brooke?s mum and dad hinted that she could soon be dropping solo songs in response to a fan query.
Kordei, for her part, might also be leaving the group. She recently showcased her own sound with a Drake mash-up, blending his hits ?Fake Love? and ?Sneakin? with her own vocals.
