fast and the furious 8 update

Jason Statham refuses to take part in the Dwayne Johnson-Vin Diesel squabble. He recently told People that he stays out of any bickering or any troubles that people might have. The drama between his Fast 8 co-stars appears to have started with a controversial Instagram post by Johnson earlier this week, who lashed out at some of his male co-stars.

Dwayne called out some of his Fast 8 male costars for being ?chicken s—? and ?candy a—-.? On another Instagram post last Friday, ?The Rock? failed to thank Vin Diesel in his wrap up post for Fast and Furious 8. ?Finished strong and on to the next,? the actor wrote, thanking director F. Gary Gray for the vision and execution, and Universal for being tremendous partners as always. He also singled out Scott Eastwood, Nathalie Emmanuel and Tyrese Gibson, but there was no mention of Vin Diesel. He was probably included in the collective ?all my fellow co-stars for the collective effort and grind? bit.

On the other hand, Diesel has mentioned Johnson in his Facebook Live stream post saying that the role was originally written for Tommy Lee Jones, but was given to Dwayne and praised him for outshining it.

Muscled divas

According to sources close to the production team however, tension between the two stars has been building up for months. But the stories seem to be conflicting. One report says that Diesel has been having problems with Johnson because he kept showing up late for production. The source added that sometimes, the actor doesn?t even show up at all, and this delays production even further.

On the other hand, there have been diva behavior reports on Vin Diesel?s part, especially during the Fast 7 filming. A source had revealed to Page Six that Diesel?s constant tardiness has held up production before and Johnson is unsurprisingly calling his co-actor out, so much so that that Johnson has said in his post that some of his co-stars ?conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don?t.?

While promoting his upcoming movie Mechanic: Resurrection, Statham told People, ?Look, Dwayne?s his own man and what he says he?s entitled to say in his own way.?

Seems very childish for these men to conduct their differences through social media, but as long as the movie turns out great, nobody?s complaining.

Fast 8 will be released worldwide on April 14, 2017.
