It?s just been a collection of Fast and Furious stories all around.

One of the biggest stories, perhaps, is the position Fast and Furious 7 has on top of the podium. It?s no secret that Paul Walker?s legacy is written all over this film; seeing him for the last time probably compelled?audience members to go and flock to the theaters. All this, according to the Deadline report, isn?t enough to help them keep the top position, as other movies are poised to take over sometime.

One of the best scenes in the movie, perhaps, is the daring air drop of Dom?s crew from a moving C-130. The C-130 is the center of attraction in this report from CNN.

Fast and Furious 7?s Fast Rise

The current holder of the pole position in the box office is Fast and Furious 7.

According to Deadline, fast and Furious 7 is already on its way to adding $500M to the worldwide tally of the franchise; this despite not yet opening in China, Russia, or Japan. There are, however, other movies premiering while Fast and Furious is showing in theatres. One of them is a Nicholas Sparks novel-turned-movie, The Longest Ride, who stars relative newcomers Britt Robertson and Clint Eastwood?s son, Scott Eastwood. The other one is a Ryan Reynolds and Helen Mirren starrer, Woman in Gold.

It remains to be seen whether any of these movies have enough push to bump Fast and Furious 7 off the podium, but as it appears, the movie is safe in its position as king of the mountain.

The Other Star of the Show

A scene in Fast and Furious 7 features Dom and Bryan and the rest of the family in a daring mission to retrieve a hacker only known as ?Ramsey? and the tech that said hacker was responsible for building. This required them to do a daring free-fall from a C-130, which also meant they needed to drop while riding their cars. Safely landing, they set off on a rolling landing to chase the convoy holding Ramsey.

The C-130 was a veritable workhorse, according to this CNN report. The movie also became part of its 60 or so years in service. It had been used for many purposes, as seen in the article?whether in war, during rescue operations, or in peacetime missions, the C-130 has indeed proven to be a trustworthy aircraft.

Fast and Furious?Extending Beyond Walker

With Paul Walker gone, who will be carrying the torch for Brian O?Connor? Some suggestions include having Caleb and Cody Walker, Paul?s brothers and close doppelgangers, stand-in for him in any succeeding film in the franchise. Others say Paul?s character should just be left out altogether. Still, a Fast and Furious 8 might mark one of the longest franchises in movie history.
