Disney has already announced that they are already shutting down their browser-based game Club Penguin. As fans sadly wait for the time to come, there are a number of players who are taking it to social media to express how bummed they are after knowing the decision. There is even a Reddit forum solely dedicated to the game.

After 12 years of making kids and kids at heart smile, the game is officially closing now. It will take place at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time or 3:01 a.m. Eastern Time on March 30. On a good note, Kotaku reported that Disney is going to replace it soon with a new mobile game dubbed as Club Penguin Island.

Even with that fact at hand, fans across the globe are surely feeling down especially with all the memories they made while playing the game. As a result, fans are paying their respect to the title online. Obviously, most of them are bidding their farewells and remembering all the great times they spent in Club Penguin. Here are some of the best ones.

Apparently, Twitter users are not the only ones who are bummed out. A Reddit forum of Club Penguin called Banned from Club Penguin has already gone private with a note that says, “You’ve all been banned from /r/bannedfromclubpenguin.” According to Polygon, that is just the perfect way to say goodbye.

If it is not obvious yet, then let us tell you that no one is happy with the shutting down of Club Penguin. On a good note, the new free-to-play game Club Penguin Island will hit play stores soon bringing the classic game to our smartphones. Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
