Far Cry 3 was a clear success, and the biggest indication of this is by grabbing multiple game of the year awards, way back in 2012. Since then, hundreds and thousands of fans have been longing to see the next installment in the franchise. It?s been already quite a while since the 4th game was announced, but ?very little information was given, until recently.
Way back a few months ago, we?ve learned that Far Cry 4?s going to be set in the mountains of Himalayas, will have some involvement with superficial things, and will let you ride an elephant. Aside from this information, not much was said about the game. ?Earlier this week, the developer just announced the most important bit about the game and it is the release date, which is scheduled for November 18 this year, and the box art along with it.
Ubisoft also posted, what seems to be, the official synopsis of the game on their store site, somebody from reddit found the description before it suddenly got taken down:
?Hidden in the majestic Himalayas lies Kyrat, a country steeped in tradition and violence. You are Ajay Ghale. Traveling to Kyrat to fulfill your mother?s dying wish, you find yourself caught up in a civil war to overthrow the oppressive regime of dictator Pagan Min.
Explore and navigate this vast open world, where danger and unpredictability lurk around every corner. Here, every decision counts, and every second is a story. Welcome to Kyrat.?
So this pretty much indicates that the protagonist will be Ajay Ghale, who happens to stumble to Kyrat for his mother. The description pretty much gives away that a man named Pagan Min will be the main villain of the game (most likely) who has control over the mountain.
More information for Far Cry 4 might be revealed at E3 in the next coming month, so expect more on the story and the gameplay itself.
