The list of victims in the so-called Fappening 2.0 continues to grow. Over the weekend, another batch of explicit photos has hit the web allegedly including private pictures and videos of model-turned-actress Dylan Penn and Arrow star Katie Cassidy.
The compromising images were reportedly stolen from their phones and circulated on the internet beginning Friday. Among the leaked material is a five-minute video of Sean Penn’s daughter, which reportedly shows the 25-year-old pleasuring herself in bed. The footage, according to Gossip Cop, appears like two separate clips spliced together. The actress was apparently filming herself with a laptop camera and can be seen adjusting it at times.
Alongside the sex tape, several personal images of the actress in various stages of nakedness were also leaked online.
Apart from Penn, the latest photo leak also includes that of Cassidy who’s famous for playing Black Canary on the CW superhero series Arrow. Some of the explicit photos show the actress pBerforming a sex act on a mystery man. Others feature her completely naked, while another has her in her iconic mask from the CW TV show and grabbing her breast over a shirt.
The two are believed to be the latest victims of the 2017 nude photo scandal dubbed as “Fappening 2.0.” As previously reported, the original “Fappening” leaked private files of more than a dozen stars back in 2014, including Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, and Kaley Cuoco, among others.
International Business Times notes that the 2017 version started to emerge online last week with nudes of Emma Watson and Amanda Seyfried circulating on platforms like Reddit and 4Chan. The Beauty and the Beast star denied the claim that among those that were stolen are nude photos while Seyfried demanded one of the sites that posted her private images to take them down.
As for Cassidy and Penn, they have yet to comment on the security breach, although the former’s camp is already in the process of finding out what legal step she plans to take. In addition to the duo, Analeigh Tipton, Lili Simmons, Jillian Murray, Rhona Mitra and the wrestler Paige have also seen their personal photos and videos surfacing online recently without their consent.
It remains to be seen whether or not the latest photo leaks are connected to the 2014 incident. However, it’s worth noting that Ryan Collins, the man responsible for the original “Fappening” was already arrested and sentenced to jail last year. Reports claim that this year’s scandal stems from the same phishing scam Collins used in the past.
We can recall that the leaker sent fake emails to the victims disguised as notifications from Google or Apple, eventually tricking them into giving their Gmail or iCloud login credentials. Collins was sentenced to prison October last year.
