Finally, after months of iOS exclusivity, Android users will finally be able to play the best-selling mobile game, Fallout Shelter, and it?s coming this August 13. The announcement was made by game developer Bethesda in yesterday?s QuakeCon 2015.
But not only that, the game will also be getting some exciting updates on the same day, introducing new enemies, new attacks, and special units. Since its launch last month at the E3 2015 convention, fallout shelter has become Apple Store?s #1 app, and Bethesda also reported that Caps (coins used as currency in the game) has reached a staggering $5-million in sales.
This game is the first mobile game released by the makers of the iconic Elder Scrolls and Fallout series, and demand for an Android version has intensified ever since.
New Features Revealed
And if you think Android users got the losing end of the deal because they are getting the game so late in the launch, think again. On Aug. 13, both iOS and Android will instantly get the updates of the game such as:
New Enemies. Raiders and rad roaches are not the only enemies you have to think about once the updates of the game come. You will also have to deal with mole rats, and Deathclaws or robotic entities with claws that can fish you out of your vault.
New Units. In Fallout Shelter, aside from your usual dwellers, you will also get to have Mr. Handy as one of your helpers. Mr. Handy is one of the characters in the upcoming Fallout 4, and as his name implies, he will be quite handy in getting your resources and fighting raiders.
More characters. You got that right, Bethesda is planning an additional 1,000 characters into the game! According to Bethesda?s Tom Howard, ?We are going to support Fallout Shelter for a long time. This is something we did on the side and we were blown away by the response.”
Fallout Shelter For Android Coming in August
And it?s not just Fallout Shelter for Android that people are anticipating about. A limited-edition collector?s edition Fallout Anthology will also be launched on September. This will be a one-of-kind collection of all of Fallout?s physical games in one nifty nuclear capsule including Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas. There will also be a slot left for Fallout 4 in case you decide to buy the physical copy, but this is basically a nifty thing to own if you?re a fan of the series. The Fallout Anthology is expected to be as successful as the Pip Boy Series which sold out in a day and will be available this September 29 for only $50.
Fallout 4 on the other hand, will be launched in October.
