Chris Avellone and Brian Fargo, dubbed as the fathers of Fallout, could possibly make an appearance in the Fallout-inspired web series named Fallout: Nuka Break ? Tales from the Wasteland, should the kickstarter stretch goal be achieved. The stretch goal amount that needs to be reached stands at $60,000. Wayside Creations made the announcement recently.
Brian Fargo is the founder of Interplay and was the head of the company when Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics were developed and published. He also had a hand in Fallout?s predecessor, Wasteland. All three Fallout games mentioned have the words ?Brian Fargo presents? in their intros. Fargo is currently with InXile developing Wasteland 2.
Chris Avellone worked on game titles Fallout 2 and Fallout: New Vegas as a video game designer. He was also the one who compiled the Fallout bible. Avellone collaborated with Wayside in the past even appearing onscreen in Nuka Break season 2. He also developed the story for the upcoming Legend of Grimlock film. He is currently connected to Obsidian Entertainment and is working on Pillars of Eternity.
An announcement in the campaign reads: ?These formidable fathers of Fallout will appear in the film itself, but we?re not stopping there. We?ll also shoot a special, extended version of their scene to include in the bonus features. We?re also introducing a new, limited perk which will allow YOU to join us on set?and if we hit the stretch goal, it means you?ll be onscreen with the patriarchs of post-apocalyptia themselves!?
Fallout: Nuka Break ? Tales from the Wasteland is a follow up to the web series Fallout: Nuka Break and it offers new insight and backstory to Nuka Break character, The Ranger. Wayside Creations turned to crowdfunding via Kickstarter looking to get $20,000 in funds. The amount has already been reached and that is why stretch goals have been made to give backers more incentives as higher amounts are reached. With 13 more days to go, the campaign sits at a little under $48,000. If you are interested in helping fund the project, head on over to the kickstarter website to help out.
