Bethesda has released two open world RPG series, Fallout and The Elder Scrolls, that allowed players to impact the game world and shape it according to their goals. The company has yet to officially announce any details about Fallout 5 but rumors about its existence are already circulating. Here’s what we know about Fallout 5’s release date news.

Fallout 5 Release Date News

Ryan Alosio has jokingly confirmed on his Instagram that he was currently doing work for Fallout 5. However, fans seemed to be hyped about this announcement and  pestered him for more information. Alosio had to explain that he was lying to make the fans laugh akin to his Fallout 4 role as Deacon. He had to explain to the fans that this Fallout 5 release date announcement was just an act and shouldn’t be taken seriously. For now, fans have little to no information about Fallout 5’s development and existence.

Bethesda’s Official Statement

As of now, Bethesda hasn’t released any word about Fallout 5. The company has just released the Prey reboot which allowed players to morph into objects and fight aliens who also transform into objects. Additionally, Bethesda might talk about Quake Champions next as that game barely had information after it was revealed last year. Bethesda has yet to talk about another Fallout entry and not even another Elder Scrolls entry at that.

Not Even Obsidian

Mostly, rumors about Fallout 5’s features circulate around the fans about its features and other details. Previously, the next Fallout was rumored to be in New Orleans after finding a copyright that seems to bear its logo. Fallout’s alternative developer who made Fallout New Vegas, Obsidian Entertainment, was speculated to make Fallout New Orleans. However, the Fallout New Orleans copyright entry seems to have disappeared and Obsidian released Pillars of Eternity 2 without a hint of any Fallout. Both Bethesda and Obsidian doesn’t seem to be making the project as of the moment.

Chances To Show Up

For now, the Fallout 5 release date reveal could happen at upcoming video game expos this year. Fallout still has E3 this June and Gamescom this August to show up and announce its next entry. Currently, both Bethesda and Obsidian Entertainment show no signs of picking up the series for another game. Fans will have to wait to see if this series will have any official details this 2017.
