Extraterrestrial News: Astronomers Detect Radio Signal From Space

By on

There is a recent development in the study of alien forms. Apparently, the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) is investigating a recent occurrence. Reports reveal that SETI had detected mysterious signal spikes coming from a constellation that is centuries away from the Earth.

Interestingly, this is not the first time that such an occurrence has happened. The Russian Academy of Science were actually the first to detect the eerie sounds, back in May 2015. They kept the news secret for some reason. The public finally unearthed this when the sounds were once again detected.

Alan Boyle, author of ?The Case of Pluto? said, ?The signal conceivably fits the profile for an intentional transmission from an extraterrestrial source. In any case, the blip is interesting enough to merit discussion by those who specialize in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence.?

A?Signal Meant For Earth?

Scientists believe that the extraterrestrial sounds are powerful when widespread without a target. Meaning, it was so strong that it reached Earth and the solar system.?That wouldn’t be the case if it was intentionally directed to Earth. Those sounds would require a smaller power emission. Either way, this would mean a rather advanced technological harness.

2000px-Dyson_Sphere_Diagram-en.svgInterstellar space reporter Paul Gilster said, ?The signal is provocative enough that the RATAN-600 researchers are calling for permanent monitoring of this target? There could, of course, be other planets still undetected in this system.?

Seth Shostak, director for the Center for SETI Research puts a damper on things. He said there?s no reason to be enthusiastic about this new revelation as it could still be anything. He reveals that until such time they can detect a sound emitting from the same spot, then there?s no reason to think ?aliens?.

?I would say it?s a mystery signal, but mystery signals are not new.? Shostak however questioned why the Russians had to keep it a secret.?In his interview, he said, ?It?s generally accepted if you find a signal you think might conceivably be due to extraterrestrial activity, you?d want to confirm it with someone looking at it with another antenna.?
