EXO ex-member Luhan has slammed the United Nation?s decision regarding the South China Sea.
The territory dispute between China and Philippines over the Scarborough Shoal has been making news for months. Many are even worried that the battle over the contested waters would lead to an all-out war, especially after the United States got involved. As America sided with the Philippines against the Chinese aggression in the disputed area, Beijing reportedly established a military post 230-kilometers off the coast of the Philippines.
Just yesterday, Filipinos from all over the world celebrated after the United Nations sided with them in the arbitration case. The territory is now no longer recognized as the ?South China Sea,? and it should be called the ?West Philippine Sea.?
However, not everyone is pleased with the verdict over the dispute.
EXO ex-member Luhan quickly went to social media to express his disappointment. In the now-deleted post, the Chinese singer-actor insisted that the South China Sea rightfully belongs to his country.
“China – can’t be less, not even one bit,? he captioned a photo from Scarborough Shoal. ?Not one part of China can be taken away.”

Even if Luhan quickly removed the disgruntled post, netizens were able to take screenshots and criticized the former boyband member. However, there were also people who explained that the Chinese star has the right to be disappointed for his country the same way Filipinos are celebrating their UN victory.
Aside from the pop star, media outlets from Beijing have also slammed the international court?s ruling on the territorial issues. They have said that the UN?s ?power play? is very ?ill-founded,? which resulted to angry responses from Filipinos.
Luhan was part of the phenomenal boy group EXO from 2011 to 2014. However, his departure two years ago resulted to contractual cases between him and his former Korea-based agency, S.M. Entertainment.
After all the drama surrounding the exit of Luhan, the remaining EXO members were still able to make a successful comeback just last June.
Minus their former members, the group has been on top of music charts with their new album, ?EX?ACT.? The album launch coincided with the boyband?s comeback performance on the popular entertainment show M! Countdown.
As for EXO ex-member Luhan, the 26-year-old has reportedly gone back to China in hopes of pursuing a solo career.
