Another female actress is in rumors of playing the lead role in the next upcoming movie ?Captain Marvel? as Emily Blunt joins the list. While promoting her latest action movie ?Sicario? at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), the actress shared her thought on considering more actresses for action roles of movies like ?Captain Marvel,? although she reveals that she has supposedly not yet heard anything about ?Captain Marvel,? according to Comicbook.
Along with Emily Blunt joining the possible line-up for the next Captain Marvel are co-stars Charlize Theron (Mad Max: Fury Road) and Rebecca Ferguson (Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation), who was the latest actress to be rumored for the role, shared by Comicbook.
?I think it?s because the list is very short, because we don?t see women in these kinds of roles,? she said in an interview with Indie Wire at the TIFF. ?So I think as soon as you do a role like that, like Charlize did or I did, or Rebecca?s done ? there?s like four of us or something, and Jen Lawrence. So I feel like us four, we get talked about, and Angie, Angelina. So it?s a list of like, four women who are going to be considered for those kinds of roles.?
Since showing some action-packed skills like ?Sicario,? Emily Blunt has now been seen in another light. And with recent history of pulling off some nasty butt-kicking in ?Edge of Tomorrow,? no wonder the actress should be considered for the role.??So I think that?s why the rumors happen, because they?re like, ?Who else? Surely no another girl can wield a gun,? you know what I mean? ?A woman doing push-ups? There?s only one who can do that.?
Unfortunately, we have yet to hear from Marvel who will be taking the role, but as long as there?s no catfight involved, then we?re happy with anyone. ?Captain Marvel? is set to release in theaters on November 2, 2018
