So how do Game of Thrones actresses Emilia Clarke, Natalie Dormer, Maisie Williams, Lena Headey, Sophie Turner, and Gwendoline Christie prefer the story to end?
If she could have it her way, Lena Headey, whose character Cersei Lannister suffered a great deal of heartbreak when she lost her kids Joffrey and Myrcella Baratheon, tells Entertainment Weekly that she?d like Cersei to have a happy ending with a little help from the Red Priestess:
?Cersei would kidnap the red priestess and she would resurrect all her dead children and they would all rule happily ever after.?
Maisie Williams, whose onscreen persona Arya Stark has been relegated to the sidelines for several seasons until Season 6, would love to see the sword-wielding Arya rise to the top. She doesn?t specify if she?d love to see Arya sitting on the throne, though.
?The nasty characters, they?ve been really really great for story arcs, but it?s time to ditch them and let Arya rise to the top. There we go.?
Sophie Turner, who plays the once-timid-but-now-feisty Sansa Stark, would love to see her character ruling Westeros, with Petyr Baelish, aka Littlefinger, by her side. Sophie also wishes that Sansa be reunited with her family again.
?I?d think she?d want her and Littlefinger to end up on the throne, with Littlefinger as Hand of the King, and Sansa on the throne, reunited with her whole family, even the dead ones.?
Natalie Dormer, who plays Queen Margaery Tyrell, wishes her and King Tommen?s daughter, whom she?d name Rose Baratheon, to lead Westeros.
?Margaery Tyrell would like the first queen on the throne to be Rose Baratheon, first of her name, who would be the daughter of Tommen and herself.?
Gwendoline Christie, who portrays the loyal Brienne of Tarth, offers a different direction. She imagines a very gruesome and bloody ending to the story.
?There needs to be a huge convergence of the characters on the Iron Throne. I think that Daenerys is groping for the throne, she?s moving towards it, she?s almost on there, literally every single person, every single character killed on the way up, one of her dragons turns on her and incinerates her and then the whole of Westeros turns to an Aegean-like state and has to regenerate.?
Emilia Clarke, who plays the badass queen Daenerys Targaryen, puts a more imaginative spin to the story. If she could have it her way, she?d want Dany and her dragons to end up somewhere in the Caribbean.
?I?m gonna pitch that I get to Westeros, riding on the back of my dragon, and we hang a right past Hollywood, and we pick up a few beautiful men to jump on the dragon with me, and then we pick up the throne, and we take that throne and the beautiful men and we take it to the Caribbean. And we plant that throne in the Caribbean and we just chill out. That?s it. That?s the ending of Game of Thrones, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you.?
