The latest Elder Scrolls 6 news may disappoint many fans who have been eagerly waiting the game?s release. The latest information comes from Bethesda?s VP of marketing Pete Hines, who said that the game?s release date is ?years and years? away. The studio is not working on the game at the moment. After the E3 2016 conference, almost every fan was expecting the game to be released sometime sooner, but the studio has made its stand clear and debunked all the rumors in a single reply.
On Twitter, Bethesda?s Hines was asked regarding The Elder Scrolls 6 release date. Hines answered bluntly, saying the game will take long before hitting shelves. The studio is bringing Elder Scrolls Special Edition which was announced at E3 this year, so it seems that the announced game is keeping the developers busy, and the studio is not working on anything related to the highly anticipated Elder Scrolls sequel.
The fans? disappointment can be seen in their response to Hines? statement, but Hines went on revealing more details and dismantled fans? hopes. He was also asked whether the upcoming games are taking away the focus from the developer. Hines replied, ?We aren’t working on TES6 at the moment.? The Skyrim sequel didn?t appear at E3 and it seems that it was the indication of the game?s late arrival.
Although the news is certainly disappointing many fans, it?s not the end of the world because Bethesda has already hinted that the studio has plans for The Elder Scrolls 6. During a livestream at E3, Todd Howard said that the studio has ideas on how The Elder Scrolls 6 would look like. The developers said they will work on two other major projects before releasing their next main Elder Scrolls game.
Fans who have been waiting for The Elder Scrolls 6 release need to have more patience as the upcoming title will certainly not come out anytime soon. Presumably, the Skyrim sequel is not coming this year and even the next year.
