Even though it has yet to be confirmed, fans really want to know the Elder Scrolls 6 release date. This isn’t a huge surprise, after the success of the Skyrim re-release and last year’s Fallout 4. Recently, some speculation about the new Elder Scrolls game has come to light, stating that the game will come out in 2017.
Analyst Michael Patcher speculated that the anticipated title would come out in 2017 to Games Industry Biz. He stated that the game is nearing the end of development and would eventually come out, unlike the long delayed Half-Life 3. It seems like the speculation touched a nerve, as Bethesda’s Pete Hines has mocked the analyst’s guess.
Analyst Blasted To Oblivion
Regarding the speculated Elder Scrolls 6 release date, Hines tweeted that the analyst ?totally punted? this one. Apparently, Patcher should be listening to Hines and Todd more. It’s clear that the possible game is far from ready, or maybe Bethesda wants to make it a surprise.
To his credit, Patcher tweeted back, stating that he meant ?dog years? over normal years. As most people know, one year for a dog already feels like seven for them. It’s doubtful that we will see Elder Scrolls 6 next year, though it’s not clear if it will actually take seven years. Then again, Bethesda could just be playing coy and waiting for a better opportunity to announce the game.
Judging the reputation of Bethesda, we will likely see the Elder Scrolls 6 release date when the game is nearly done. Back when Fallout 4 was announced at E3 2015 in June, the game’s release date surprised plenty of people by coming out in November 2015. If the Elder Scrolls 6 ever gets announced, expect it to come out in that same year as well.
While fans wait for their next game, they still have plenty to enjoy from the company. Doom is one of this year’s best shooters and won a number of awards. Dishonored 2 has ended up surpassing the first game and is considered by many to be one of the better stealth titles of the year. That’s not even mentioning Fallout 4 and Skyrim HD. ?
