After releasing all the Fallout 4 DLC this year, Bethesda is expected to work on The Elder Scrolls 6, the next big title from the studio. Fans expect the developer to now focus on the release of the game; however, the company has not officially announced that they are currently working on it, but fans are expecting the title to feature a new game engine.
According to fans, The Elder Scrolls VI must introduce a new game engine. Bethesda introduced The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim in 2011 which runs on the Creation Engine. The game engine was highly appreciated at that time, but Bethesda was criticized when they used the same engine ?i for Fallout 4 with only several modifications to it. Now fans expect Bethesda to take another step in delivering something new for Elder Scrolls 6.
Fans? speculations on a new game engine for The Elder Scrolls 6 make sense, and it seems that the studio is ready to deliver a new graphical experience to players. A recent job listing on Zenimax Media Inc. states that Bethesda is hiring a Graphics Programmer. The person will be responsible for working on a new RPG. The listing states that the graphics programmer will join a team that is ?pushing the bleeding-edge of RPG development? for the PC and consoles. It further states that the person will be working closely with lead engine programmers.
Bethesda Studios is known for keeping its projects a secret, and it has not revealed what The Elder Scrolls 6 is bringing for players. However, the rumors are everywhere, so it is likely that fans can expect a new game engine from Bethesda. The company has already confirmed that it will make a big appearance at E3 2016, so it is possible that Bethesda Studios may announce the game and showcase a gameplay footage as well in the event.
On the other hand, it is also possible that the company may not introduce the Elder Scrolls 6 at E3 2016 because the talks about the three ?big and crazy? games sparked by Todd Howard were retracted recently. Check out our report on how Howard clarified his statement about the the three games, saying it was a mistake.
