Game developer and publisher Square Enix have announced during their stint at the E3 2014 that new contents and updates will come to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. During the first livestream held at the event, producer Naoki Yoshida confirmed that the game?s upcoming Patch 2.4 will introduce two new classes ? the Rogue and the Ninja class.
Meanwhile, Final Fantasy XIV fans who previously expressed disappointment upon Square Enix?s decision to exclude gay marriage are about to get vindicated. Yoshida further announced in the said livestream that the game will finally allow same-sex marriage. He explained that the game?s system will now be able to permit any two characters to be married together, whatever their nation, race, or gender.
Talking about the new Final Fantasy XIV classes, first to be introduced is the Rogue class which will in turn unlock the Ninja class. The former?s guild will be composed of past thieves who decided to take their ?art? beyond mediocre thievery and covertness. The developers felt that the game?s various city states would be alarmed by the presence of a thief-centered guild, so they worked on a more concrete background that will be announced later on.
Gamers would feel that fighting the Rogue class, along with its poisons and stealth mechanics, brings about a World Of Warcraft-ish vibe. ?A Rogue will be able to wield dual weapons at one time, so players can save time looking and setting up two weapons. In contrast to other classes, especially to pugilists, the Rogues will be quick and agile on their feet. The new class will move about swifter than other classes by default and will take less damage.
The Ninja class is one of the most anticipated inclusions in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. It has been hinted a lot previously and will finally be represented in this game?s new expansion. When this job is unlocked, a range of ninjutsu will be accessible. In order to activate a ninjutsu, a player must choose the correct mudra combination. There would be no harmful effects if the wrong mudra combination is selected. To make up for this class? added intricacy, Ninjas will not rely much on proper positioning not like its monk counterpart.
