A lot of things are going to happen at this year?s E3 2014 event. While there are many things that we will see, there will also be some things that we won?t be able to see due to various reasons. There have been announcements within the past month or so that some games will not be showcased during this year?s E3 event.
Final Fantasy 15 and Kingdom Hearts 3
We went at length here detailing out why the latest installments of the widely popular and highly anticipated Japanese role playing game sequels won?t be showing up for this year?s E3 event. Square Enix Producer Shinji Hashimoto went on to explain that neither games will make a showing at E3 but they will be showcased at different events after E3 instead.
The Xbox exclusive project, Quantum Break, by Alan Wake and Max Payne developer Remedy Entertainment was first showcased at the Xbox One unveiling event last May 2013. The project is a mix of a game as well as a live action television show in order to tell a complete story. It has players control the hero of the story in the game while the TV show is run in parallel that follows the villains. The game?s release date has been pushed back to 2015. The game is expected to have more details in the upcoming Gamescom event but not for this year?s E3.
We first gave a preview on the game here.
Media Molecule isn?t a game but is the studio behind the much loved PlayStation Vita game Tearaway. The company tweeted earlier in the week saying that they would not be attending this year?s E3 event so don?t get your hopes up for a new LittleBigPlanet or any updates or answers to their demoes.
Satoru Iwata is the President of Nintendo and is usually not one to miss major events such as the E3. This year, it was announced that Iwata would not be able to attend this year?s E3 because of his doctor?s orders. The announcement stated: ?He’s been instructed by his physician not to travel overseas in the immediate future, and so he will not be making the trip to Los Angeles.? Iwata will still be doing his usual duties but it just won?t be personally at the event itself.
