GTA V to come to PS4, Xbox One, and PC this fall 2014

Popular video game Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) is set to arrive on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC this fall, its developer Rockstar Games has confirmed.

It was Sony, during their E3 2014 press conference, which spilled the beans first about GTA V coming to their current generation PS4 consoles. Rockstar Games, however, took to YouTube to announce that their upcoming game will arrive to the new gaming consoles this autumn.

Video game observers have seen this GTA V announcement as inevitable as its competitor has been in the market for weeks now. Watch Dogs, developed by Ubisoft and released in late May, has always been regarded as GTA V?s rival. Both games have similar themes that involve law-breaking, gun-shooting, and chaos-inducing activities. Watch Dogs may have the upper hand right now as it is already available for Xbox One and PS4 consoles.

Meanwhile, GTA V is named as 2013?s best-selling video game after garnering sales of more than 32 million units starting from its September 17 release for the Xbox 360 and PS3 until the end of the said year. But Rockstar mentioned that the latest generation of consoles and the PC are a new arena and will allow them to offer the ?biggest richest open-world experience yet? should their new game turn up.

According to the game developer, GTA V will take full use of the capabilities of the Xbox One, PS4, and PC by making extensive technical and graphical improvements in order to bring a whole new level of detail. They describe the new game as having finer texture, increased draw distances, denser traffic, and improved resolutions ? all contributing to bring new life to Rockstar?s virtual version of Southern California.

In a post published on their official website, Rockstar said that all gameplay and new content produced since Grand Theft Auto Online?s launch will also be available for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One systems. These include an arsenal of new weapons, array of new jobs, lots of new vehicles, new properties, and options for player customizations. Moreover, players will now have the ability to move their GTA Online characters and progression to their GTA V game in the Xbox One, PS4, or PC.

GTA V for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 may be set to arrive this fall, but gamers can choose to pre-order the game?s regular version already for $ 59.99. It?s possible that Rockstar won?t be offering any upgrade deal to PS4 or Xbox One owners; with a considerable graphics improvement and more than one year of work, it?s expected that Rockstar will ask a full price for the game.
